Abstract

A new technique for identification of annular welded joints by signals from a flaw detector of transverse magnetization is considered. The direction of the leakage field along the axis of a joint makes it almost invisible to the eye during an expert analysis of data and identification of joints should be automated because of their great number. The proposed approach is based on application of a sliding window to processing of signals, conversion into a binary form, and a specific case of Radon transformation. The efficiency of this approach is proved. The results of exploitation of this algorithm are considered.
