Abstract

A possibility of a notable upgrade of the reliability and accuracy of local detection of ferromagnetic inclusions in austenite steels using a new design of the ferritometric magnetic-modulation transducer is discussed. The transducer allows one to localize and measure ferromagnetic inclusions in scanning a surface of an austenite material along two orthogonal axes and, at the same time, verify measurements along different axes.
