Coercive-force and eddy-current testing of the abrasive wear resistance of quenched and tempered hypereutectoid carbon steels: I. Steels subjected to standard low-temperature quenching and tempering
Source abstract
Abstract
The effect of the excess carbide phase in amounts of 3–11 wt % on the sensitivity of eddycurrent and magnetic testing methods is studied. The case of the wear resistance of high-carbon (0.83−1.53 wt % C) steels quenched at a low temperature (790°C) and tempered in the temperature range 75–700°C is considered.
