Identification of a Crack-Like Flaw in an Orthotropic Layer
Source abstract
Abstract
The paper is devoted to determination of the width and depth of an isolated crack perpendicular to the boundary of an orthotropic layer. An integral equation for an unknown function of crack opening to be solved numerically and an expression for the wave field in the layer have been obtained. The paper suggests a numerical algorithm for reconstructing crack parameters on the base of measurements of amplitudes of two waves propagating across the layer surface.
