Abstract

In order to prove that the tensile properties of the interface between rock and concrete are related to the loading speed and the type of rock, direct tensile experiments with different loading rates were carried out on samples of different rock types. The experimental results show that with the increase of loading rate, the tensile properties and ductility of the rock-concrete interface are improved, and the energy accumulated during the failure of rock-concrete interface also increases. In addition, ductile failure is more likely to occur at rock-concrete interface. When the loading rate is the same, the rock properties have an important influence on fracture development. The granite with better material properties has better overall rigidity, which leads to the development of interfacial cracks along the shortest path. This is mainly due to the low tensile strength of the interface formed by granite and concrete, and poor cohesiveness.
