Abstract

Acoustic noise in the material of a pipe element made of 12KhMF-grade steel and containing multiple micropores has been studied using a PCUS-10 microprocessor-based flaw detector installed in a PC. Noise was analyzed and filtered using Fourier transform and methods of continuous and discrete wavelet transformations. The acoustic characteristics of 12KhMF-grade steel containing micropores have been studied.
