Abstract

The mechanism of acoustic noise generation in a rod with regular differences in the cross section is studied theoretically and experimentally. The effects of the rod’s geometry and the basic control parameters on the testability of the rod tested by the acoustic waveguide method are evaluated. Recommendations for improvement of the rod’s testability are made.
