Abstract

The key factors that determine the visibility of indicator patterns of flaws revealed by liquid-penetrant methods are considered based on the example of color testing. These factors are ranked and their weighting coefficients are determined. A procedure for comparing the quality of flaw-inspection materials based on an objective quantitative basis (using the visibility of indicator patterns) is presented.
