Self-Healing, Superhydrophobic, and Heat-Resistant Schiff Base/OTS/PDMS Multifunctional Composite Membrane
Source abstract
Abstract
DMBA and Schiff bases were introduced to form a “zipper” structure, which endowed PDMS with excellent self-healing and heat resistance properties. Superhydrophobicity was imparted to PDMS by grafting an OTS on its surface. The results showed that the self-healing efficiency of PDMS-2%DMBA-0.55%SB was as high as 96.07% after being placed at 120 °C for 24 h. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the thermal decomposition temperature increased from 329 °C for PDMS to 413 °C for PDMS-2%DMBA-0.55%SB. The surface grafted with OTS led to a water contact angle of up to 160.6°. Therefore, this material has an application prospect in the field of electronic packaging.
