Abstract

As a metal–organic framework material, the zeolite imidazole salt framework (ZIF) has a large specific surface area and excellent chemical sites. It not only has a high PM2.5 filtration efficiency but also exhibits excellent adsorption performance toward heavy metal ions. In this study, ZIF-modified soluble polyurethane (PU) nanofibrous membranes were prepared by the electrospinning method. Experimental results show that the PU@ZIF-15 membrane has high PM2.5 filtration efficiency and excellent mechanical properties as well as low pressure drop. Moreover, the composite membrane exhibits a high level of PM2.5 filtration performance even after 5 cycles of filtration, washing, and drying. The prepared PU@ZIF-15 membrane shows excellent comprehensive performance and broad application prospects in PM2.5 filtration. In addition, it has a certain adsorption capacity toward the heavy metal chromium ion.
