Abstract

We investigate the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in four ferromagnetic (FM) cerium-based heavy-fermion (HF) compounds. These ferromagnets are distinguished by relatively high Curie temperatures (${T}_{\mathrm{C}}$) and large residual resistivity ratios, which allowed us to disentangle the mechanisms of the AHE. Our results reveal a predominant skew-scattering contribution to the AHE within the FM region of all four compounds, with the anomalous Hall conductivity ranging from $100\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}\phantom{\rule{0.16em}{0ex}}{\mathrm{cm}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ to $1.5\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}4\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Omega}}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}\phantom{\rule{0.16em}{0ex}}{\mathrm{cm}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ at 2 K. Additionally, skew-scattering AHE also plays a significant role in the paramagnetic state, resulting in a distinct magnetic field dependence of the Hall resistivity when the temperatures are near the ${T}_{\mathrm{C}}$. We propose that the partially screened $f$ moments serve as scattering centers in the electrical transport of these four compounds.
