Abstract

The discovery of the paramagnetic spin-triplet superconductor UTe${}2$ has made a large impact on condensed matter physics. The multiple superconducting phases in UTe${}2$ under pressure are a fingerprint of the spin-triplet superconductivity. Here, the authors study the physical properties of this material under pressure using ${}125$Te nuclear magnetic resonance measurements. NMR Knight shift and nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate measurements reveal that Kondo coherence and superconductivity simultaneously disappear, indicating the importance of the heavy-fermion state for the superconductivity.
