Antisymmetric Peaks Observed in the Hall Resistance of Fe5GeTe2 Ferromagnets: Implications for Spintronic Devices
Source abstract
Abstract
Fe 5 GeTe 2 is a van der Waals ferromagnetic metal, which has a Curie temperature at room temperature higher than that of Fe 3 GeTe 2 . Despite extensive studies on Fe 5 GeTe 2 ’s performance, its magnetism remains poorly understood, particularly the in-plane electrical transport and angle dependence, which have not been reported yet. In this paper, we report angle-dependent Hall resistance and magnetoresistance in Fe 5 GeTe 2 flakes, demonstrating that the Hall resistance shows an antisymmetric peak when the magnetic field is parallel to the current. Systematic temperature and angle dependence magneto-transport characterizations reveal that the observed antisymmetric peak in the Hall resistance is closely correlated with the magnetic order in Fe 5 GeTe 2, providing evidence of its significant in-plane magnetic anisotropy. Our findings offer insights into the electrical transport properties of Fe 5 GeTe 2, which are essential for the development and application of Fe 5 GeTe 2 -based spintronic devices.
