Abstract
Front cover image: Quantum dots (QDs) based photocatalysts have been considered as promising catalysts due to their unique quantum effects and photoelectric properties, which has attracted widespread attention in water splitting. In the article number 10.1002/cey2.280, Zhang and co-workers summarized the recent advances of QDs in photocatalytic H2 production by enumerating different synthetic and characterization strategies, summarizing roles of various QDs, proposing future research. This paper also aimed to deepen the photocatalytic mechanism and extend applications of QDs for addressing challenges faced in energy-conversion nowadays.
