Abstract
During the last two decades, application of nanomaterials in day-to-day life has increased to a great extent. Use of nanomaterials is in practice for finding efficient and eco-friendly solutions, e.g. eco-friendly production of materials, cost-effective solar cell production, etc. At the world level, research priority is given to finding regenerative and environmentally friendly solutions for energy. Nanotechnology is expected to play a promising role in novel cost-effective method development like storage of H2, capturing CO2, etc. At the nano level, material properties can change, and it is very important to understand design at nanoscale. Nanocatalysts can be used as a particle that may be single, aggregated or porous as a material in nature. It is necessary to understand the process, which takes place while applying nanoparticles or materials as catalysts. Adsorbents and catalysts remove contaminants. Some potential health and environmental risks are associated with use of nanomaterials.
