Nanotechnology in the Agriculture Industry
Source abstract
Abstract
Nanosensors, nanopesticides and nanofertilizers are now being encouraged by nanotechnology's exponential growth to promote alterations in the conventional food and agriculture industries as well as ingenious and active packaging. Several new nanomaterials for refining foodstuff eminence and protection, cultivation growth and environmental monitoring have been created. This study examines nanotechnology's current developments and presents selected recent research on the most demanding challenges and exciting prospects in foodstuff and farming engineering. In these new foods and agronomic goods, toxicological fundamentals and risk management for nanomaterials are addressed. We outline the possible use for sustainable production of biologically and bio-inspired nanomaterials. Simple issues such as high efficiency need to be addressed as fuel-active nanomaterial production and nanotechnology application are being tackled. It is also essential to control nanomaterials' production, manufacturing, application and disposal through regulation and legislation. There is also a need to raise consumer understanding and recognition of the latest food and agriculture items that are nano-enabled. We believe that nanotechnology provides a wealth of possibilities as a modern and renewable solution in the fields of food and agriculture.
