Abstract

Front Cover: The artwork by Freddy Alvarez describes the cell culture of fibroblasts on degradable, multifunctional hydrogels. The cover of article 2300383 by Felix H. Schacher shows the evolution of cell growth, while the inherent degradation of the hydrogel scaffold through hydrolysis enables an initial, artificial support while providing growth factors that stimulate the production of collagen as natural ECM.
