Recent Advances in Transition Metal Vanadates and Their Composite for Supercapacitors
Source abstract
Abstract
Transition metal vanadates (MxVyOz) have emerged as highly acclaimed electrode materials for supercapacitors due to their numerous redox reactions, high electrochemical activity, excellent structural stability, and superior conductivity. Therefore, advancing the research on transition metal vanadates for supercapacitors is of paramount importance. This review discusses the recent advances of transition metal vanadates and their application in supercapacitors. Moreover, it elucidates key issues related to these materials, such as fabrication methods, morphological structures, and electrochemical properties. It is essential to design and develop nanostructures with varied functionalities, as well as to explore the hybridization of transition metal vanadates with carbon-based substances, other metal oxides, and the integration of foreign elements. Furthermore, the review presents and substantiates the application potential of MxVyOz in supercapacitors.
