CRACK WIDTH PREDICTION USING COMPATIBILITY-AIDED STRUT-AND-TIE MODEL. DISCUSSION AND CLOSURE

A discussion of an earlier paper with the aforementioned title by R.R.H. Zhu et al., published in this journal (Volume 100, Number 4, July/August 2003), is presented. The discusser commends the authors on their meticulously planned and scrupulously executed research program, which has furthered the scope of application of the strut-and-tie method. Several observations noted by the discusser are listed for clarification purposes. In closure, the authors respond to these 5 commented-upon areas of their paper.
