BOND OF SURFACE-MOUNTED FIBER-REINFORCED POLYMER REINFORCEMENT FOR CONCRETE STRUCTURES. DISCUSSION AND CLOSURE

E. S. SÁNCHEZ FILHO, M. de Souza Lima Velasco, Ricardo A. Einsfeld

Abstract

A discussion of an earlier paper with the aforementioned title by T.G. Harmon et al., published in this journal (Volume 100, Number 5, September/October 2003), is presented. While the authors have made a considerable contribution to the study of bond strength between concrete and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP), the discusser suggests that certain aspects of their research be addressed. The authors respond to these points in closure.
