Abstract

In this investigation, we successfully fabricated a novel bi-layer electromagnetic wave absorber utilizing hierarchically structured pseudospherical FeCoNi magnetic microparticles in conjunction with h-BN-coated Cu 2O nanocomposite. In the initial stage, the absorbance capabilities of individual materials are gauged in a singular layer form. Subsequently, leveraging these outcomes, the reflective loss performance of the dual-layer absorber was effectively modeled through the optimization of each layer`s thickness. The simulation results are in good accordance with the experimental outcomes obtained through waveguide methodology and large-scale manufacturing involving samples measuring 30×30 cm. Evidently, the bilayer sample, characterized by a thickness of 1.4 mm, attains a minimum reflection loss of –43.5 dB and offers an effective absorption bandwidth of 2.9 GHz. The layered structure exhibits a distinctive ability to absorb microwaves, attributed to the presence of multiple layers, the dielectric loss properties of h-BN/Cu 2O particles, and the magnetic loss characteristic of FeCoNi micro-particles. Additionally, particles and layers exhibited an auxiliary effect, further enhancing the microwave-absorbing behavior.
