Characterization of adhesive bonded lap joints of C/C–SiC composite and Ti–6Al–4V alloy under varying conditions
Source abstract
Abstract
Abstract The effect of glueline thickness, glueline length, etching time, temperature, exposure time and strain rate on C/C–SiC composite and Ti–6Al–4V alloy adherences were examined before and after adhesive bonding. The results show that the C/C–SiC adherence is more sensitive to strain rate and temperature than the Ti–6Al–4V adherence because of poor oxidizing resistance and high brittleness.
