Rational Regimes for Laser Machining of Glass and Ceramic Plates
Source abstract
Abstract
Analytical relations for calculating the energy density required for piercing openings in nonmetallic plates and the vaporized mass of matter per unit energy input are obtained on the basis of a one-dimensional problem of the vaporization of an absorbing layer of material with ‘prompt’ deposition of the laser pulse energy. Amethod of laser action on a plate that reduces the energy losses by a factor of two and makes it possible to determine rational regimes for piercing openings in glass and ceramic plates is proposed.
