Sensor Devices: A Zero‐Power Optical, ppt‐ to ppm‐Level Toxic Gas and Vapor Sensor with Image, Text, and Analytical Capabilities (Adv. Mater. Technol. 5/2020)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 2000058, Elda Hegmann, Torsten Hegmann, and co-workers report on a zero-power, optical, liquid crystal-based sensor platform for various toxic gases and vapors. Two modalities are described, a ppm-level time × dose and an acute exposure level image/text sensor, both for the use by firefighters, first responders, and personnel in chemical manufacturing as well as water purification plants.
