Abstract

Ultrafast Ion Transport via Dielectric Nanocube Interface In article number 2101682, Takashi Teranishi and co-workers demonstrate that the solvated Li ions preferentially adsorb onto the dielectric nanocube surface, and are subsequently desolvated on the same surface. The desolvated naked Li ions diffuse across the nanocube surface and arrive at the dielectric–electrode–electrolyte interface, i.e., the triple-phase interface (TPI). Lithium ions migrate from the TPI to the nearest intercalation site, then successively intercalate into the active material bulk, accompanied with electron exchange.
