Publisher page

Abstract

Samples were prepared at different compositions in the pseudobinary system UN‐UP and were melted under atmospheres of helium, pressurized nitrogen, and helium‐nitrogen mixtures. The tentative phase diagram presented shows no intermediate compound formation and only about 1% solubility of UN in the UP lattice. A eutectic occurred at about 2300° C and 40 wt% UP.
