32. Actually, a fourth factor has to be introduced that accounts for the contact radius between two particles. These necks are strongly influenced by preparation (aging, drying, sintering). For the aerogels under investigation, the neck radii were found to be nearly constant within each series, so effects due to different interparticle bond areas can be neglected.
